There are many exceptional losers at the Oscars. Many will go for the record books as being the biggest losers.
You all know who's nominated, Leo, Eddie, Jennifer Hudson, Meryl (for a record 12 nominations, the most of any actress) Clint, etc. You can read the full list of nominations here. What you might now know, is that Peter O'Toole, who might get the sympathy vote, will have the record for most nominations and no wins if he loses his eighth, this year. (Hey, at least he'll be the best at something, "The Most Exceptional Loser, goes to....") O'Toole plays a lecherous old man who falls in love with a teenager in the movie Venus. Some say it isn't much of a stretch to play such a creepy old man. When he was interviewed on the "The View", he was asked if he ever dated someone much younger. "Of course." Was his direct answer before having to dodge any further clarification as to the gender of such said "younger" person. In my opinion, I think he continues to run around with impressionable young boys. But that's another column. On to more exceptional losers...
